Litigation/Court Orders
Mississippi Sound Coalition desires to work collaboratively with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisiana’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, National Marine Fisheries Service, and others to find win-win solutions and changes in the law for the management of the Mississippi River. Until meaningful collaboration occurs, litigation is necessary for the Coalition to seek remedies under existing law to protect the Mississippi Sound estuary from further harm from Mississippi River water.
